Barnhart Excavating is currently on the ground executing a comprehensive site preparation and utility package for the 555 Apartments project. Our team is managing this active job site with a strict focus on safety, precise execution, and tight schedule adherence. From managing massive soil exports to installing complex underground wet utilities, our crews are keeping this high-volume project moving efficiently toward completion.

Core Scope

  • Site Demolition, Mass Earth Moving, SWPPP, and Complete Site Utilities (Storm, Water, Sanitary).

Earthwork & Site Preparation

  • Executing site demolition, which includes the removal and clearing of existing concrete and trees.

  • Preparing and grading the 18,524.32-square-foot building pad subgrade, bringing it to a tight tolerance of +/- 0.1 feet.

  • Preparing the 15,093-square-foot parking lot subgrade, utilizing geotextile fabric in lieu of low volume change (LVC) material.

  • Installing 533 tons of aggregate base for the parking lot areas to establish a stable foundation for final paving.

  • Maintaining continuous Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) measures, including 800 linear feet of wire-reinforced silt fencing, inlet protection systems, and construction entrances.

Wet Utilities Infrastructure

  • Installing a comprehensive HDPE storm sewer network ranging from 4-inch to 12-inch pipe, complete with 9 precast storm structures and a major ADS underground system.

  • Routing new 2-inch and 6-inch PVC water lines to within 5 feet of the building, including two 2-inch meter short taps, a fire hydrant, and a 6-inch detector check assembly.

  • Trenching and installing 47 linear feet of 6-inch PVC sanitary sewer infrastructure.
